well chikens come from eggs, so it's impossible for them to make egg, without being borned from an egg. |

I can go all evolutionstuff about it but I won't 
IMO, chicken got first, evolved from some bird. And since birds lay eggs...

Chickens were probably originally some sort of small wild bird, that when humans were evolving would coop up and they eventually evolved to be the domestic chickens that we know today. Humans did that with a lot of animals.... like horses and dogs
