How is this done? Whats the strategy behind this to score the most points? I would like to redo some missions for higher points eventually, so was just curious how that works. Whats the reason that nunchucks help you get a high score? Is it the combos or the amount of UTs you have to do to kill everything? What UTs are best, 1 orb or 2? Any answers would help alot. Thanks

Basically... you just spam UTs with the Nunchuks on enemies/bosses.

The strategy behind this, is to find the best way to be able to charge up a UT with the Nunchuks, and get all 50 of them in without getting hit.... thats pretty much the only real "strategy".

Nunchuks help you get a high score, because they are the weakest weapon that is given to you in the missions, that is capable of performing a UT. They give you the Wooden Sword in EVERY SINGLE MISSION, but it is incapable of UTing, so I'm not exactly sure why they put it in.

The amount of UTs is the most important part, it ends up being 12,500 points for every UT on MN difficulty.

Level 2 UTs are the best, because (see above) they give you 12,500 points per UT. 5,000 points is then multiplied by 2.5 million at the very end, giving you 12,500 total for every one. This should allow you to get the most points possible in a mission, so long as you don't get hit.

Hopefully those answered all of your questions, and ask again if you are still confused or have more questions. I'm willing to help (so long as I see it) Wink Very Happy

Do you get a Point bonus for beating the Mission with the Wooden Sword?

Everything Megla said is correct. Its a crappy way to play but if you want the points then thats what it takes for quite a few of the missions.

I've just now gotten to the point where I've started this mind numbing exercise on a few of them. I've made a few videos that I'll post soon so that it might help people decide whether or not they want to dive into the tedious world of karma farming. I'll try to get the videos up in a day or two.

The only way I could see this being possible... would be if they gave you a bonus for finishing the mission with the Wooden Sword. Even so, it wouldn't really be all that hard to almost kill everything... then just switch over and finish off an enemy for the kill. It may be worth checking out though, *nudges Wei* Wink

Yea, I see what you mean. Maybe it's just in there for bragging rights purposes. Being able to say you beat so-and-so Mission w/the Wooden Sword.

this works on the clones and all small enemies

I have a very bad feeling my karma run is going to go into super gamble mode. I just found out that if you allow the timer to hit 999 seconds, you get zero karma for that mission. You forfeit every. single. point.

Yeah, Dregon mentioned this a while back. Luckily I've never had this happen to me yet. I can just imagine your frustration to play for almost 17 minutes, spamming UT after UT just to get NOTHING for it. Yeah that sux. Cry Baby

Pity I wasn't there when Dregon mentioned it. It took me 10 seconds to take out Smaugan (Lunar ET, Lunar Explosion) after the 999 had hit. I could have killed him on the 998.6....

So... the longer the match lasts the more points you get? Or are we talking about using this time to squeeze out Max UT's?

Max Nunchuku UTs, yeah. If you time it right, you can hit Smaugan with only the "trigger" hit of the Nunchuku UT, doing basically zero damage but still getting the karma and animation.

According to the high score table at Iberian's, Shinobier holds the high score for the Smaugan Mission with 792,335. I'm at about 640,000, so a bit to go yet.

This is why it's easier catching up than running out in front. You can see what's possible, and you chase it. Dregon, Shinobier, Kip et al are running and we're all catching up! The excitement is fairly intense.
