In my travels, I have heard many people praise Halo (it is a pretty good game). However, I've also heard lots of people who claim that they don't like Halo, and I can understand that.

So I'm curious...what are some "good" games that you aren't particularly crazy about? And I mean 4 star games; for example, I tried Fable, and I can live without it. Meh.

yea fable got boring especially when u got the sword of Aeons, then ur like all powerful and there is no challenge. I only played the story twice. I also hated that darkwood escort, its so dumb. also that enflame spell was too powerful and too spammable. thats pretty much why i didnt get the second fable, the lost stories or w/e.

burnout revenge i can live without, i got to like rank 5 and stopped playing it because of MK and NGB. but its still a good game, only on live. and i dont have live otherwise i would play it all the time.

FarCry: I didn't really like it. It's allright but it's overrated IMO.

Soul Caliber series: I know I'm going to get LOTS of looks for saying this but I just never really got into the series. I don't know why either. It has lots of depth and I can respect that. I'll even be the first to defend it. Problem is, once you learn the game you start playing it differently. The game becomes a chore because every strike counts. After awhile it got to the point to where I was asking myself "Why am I still playing this game? It's no longer fun..." I don't like the Character Designs at all either. I'm big on Character Design. Character Design is one of the main reasons I love the Guilty Gear series.

I got a couple more but I'll add them later.

Splinter Cell. There's stealth, and then there is just tedious.

Starcraft. Or indeed, any Real Time Strategy game that's similar (age of Empires, etc). I do not know why, I just absolutely suck at RTS. People get all technical about "rushes" and "teching to" stuff, which I can follow but not accomplish, and when it comes to microing my troops just all die.

Example of a Starcraft vid: I saw two "pros" fighting (Zerg v Terran) and each went for TWO troop types (I think it was Zerglings + Lurkers vs Marines and Vultures). It was the most awesome game I've ever seen. When I play my mates, or when I did, it was always "omg how many Ultralisks you got?" "22 XD" followed by extremely swift and generally unpleasant death of my defences and base.

Halo: I dont see what so special about it.

Soul Calibur series: Too much of a button-mashing fest.

Final Fantasy 7: Its a good RPG game but its not as good as everybody say it is.

Resident Evil 4: Ive been a fan of RE game but RE4 wasnt a RE game to me. I dont know maybe its just me.

Starcraft: Everybody seems to be massing one unit(mostly Battlecruisers and Carriers) and they end up winning. Its mostly about who techs faster.

Resident Evil 0: Picking up items constantly with no item boxes... one hit kills... annoying lack of ammo and health... tethered characters... this game was like work. I didn't play it. I worked it. And eventually I quit. Sad, because the graphics rock pretty hard and I wanted to see rebecca's cowgirl outfit.

MGS: Twin Snakes: Having vastly enjoyed Eternal Darkness, I picked this up. Stealth=lame for the most part. Graphics were cool but the gameplay mechanics were too obtuse for me.

Beyond Good and Evil: Obviously well crafted, but I didnt like the story, characters or kiddy aspect of it.

Halo and Halo 2: Don't see what so is so great about them.

Red Dead Revolver: Not all that fun to play, I like Gun more.

World of Warcraft: Maybe great, but to have to pay for a game monthly to get online... no thanks.

Wow. We're staying on topic. I'm impressed guys.

To be perfectly honest, Dead or Alive Ultimate has never thrilled me too much. Its fun to watch ninja chicks in bikinis, I'll give you that, but all you do is unlock costume after costume. Were it not for Aerosmith, I might consider the game...less than avarage! Give me Mortal Kombat Deception any day.

Also, Half Life 2. Whoever disagrees with me they may. Flame me if you like, I don't care. I didn't enjoy it in any way.
