Pod cast from godisageek.com, short mention of NG3 and Team NINJA, they seem to like it
The pod cast doesn’t have a timer on it so can’t tell you where to skip to, its toward the last third of the pod cast

http://www.godisageek.com/2011/09/godcast-season-3-episode-14-eurogamer-expo-2011-edition/

Also GAME has NG3 down for release in March 2012

Ninja Gaiden 3 explores consequences in mature, 'non-emo' way

Localisation Project Manager Peter Garza assures fans that Ninja Gaiden 3's Ryu Hayabusa isn't some angsty, self-harming moper, whinging over life.

Team Ninja are "definitely not making him emo!" They want to show consequences of his actions "in a mature and adult way," within the series' style.

"No no no! We’re definitely not making him emo (laughs)!" said Peter Garza.

"We want to show the consequences of his actions in a mature and adult way, but still within the style of a Ninja Gaiden game. So it’s not like he’s going to be navel gazing or cutting his arms or anything like that." Can we expect plenty of second-guessing then?

"Well, he does what he has to do as a ninja. He has to throw away his own thoughts and feelings to carry out his duties and what he’s assigned to do."

"So it’s not so much about second-guessing his actions, but it’s about dealing with the consequences that happen - both in terms of gameplay and in terms of story too."

Why has Team Ninja opted to show a more 'human' side to Ryu Hayabusa? The decision was made partly because it's a sign of the times - story can't be neglected anymore. "...you need to be able to empathise with the character and make him less of a mindless killing machine and more of a human," explained Garza.

"That’s the way that games are going in general, there’s a more immersive storytelling experience rather than just the mechanics over some visuals."

"We want to show Ryu Hayabusa as a character and let people go along with him on his journey as we delve more into the ‘dark hero’ side of things."

Ryu’s not going to be cutting his arm… no crap there’s no cutting in NG3 anyway…

Ryu should push forward no matter what but not because of duty but for personal reasons, like in NG/B/S Ryu didn’t go after Doku because of duty or anything he went after him because he killed Kureha, in NGDS he went after Obaba not because he was assigned to but because she kidnapped Momiji and then in NG2/S2 when Sonia tells him about the fiends he doesn’t seem to care she has to tell him about the village just to get a reaction out him, and then Ryu doesn’t perform his duties and go after looking for the fiends he goes straight to the village

It’s funny how they say “duty” and “what’s been assigned to him” has Ryu got a duty to the government? Has he been assigned by them?

And again with the consequence’s that don’t exist in gameplay or story, they already said it’s a liner story (which is a good thing even though it contradicts the consequence) and in that compact computer (I think that’s what they’re called) interview the guy asked about the consequences but Hayashi just totally avoided answering it and just side stepped it

And I don’t get why Ryu or a character like Ryu needs to be relatable, they guys a ninja and covered in mystery and ancient traditions you’d think not being relatable would be a plus for his character, Ryus considered to be one of the most coolest and most bad ass characters ever and I can’t help but feel things like only have 4 words of dialog, showing little emotions towards the “enemy” and not having problem with killing the “enemy” has all played a part in creating that reputation

Is Ryu a “mindless killer” because he dose kill for reasons and he kills the “enemy” the clear cut bad guys, he bloody kills fiends!
No body calls the solders in COD mindless killers do they, despite the solders being mindless killers

where ae they getting this from?

Can't they show these consequences during cutscenes and not gameplay where is looks like a total crap seeing blood thirsty enemies killging you and all of a sudden they give up, yeah, its dumb beyond words.

But whatever, as soon as they show mercy I will kill them as soon as possible to pass this dumb gameplay mechanic.

Though if there is some sort of a karma feature were you gain stuff from killing or not killing then whatever, if not then its useless.

For Koreha? I thought he was after the DDB? Ryu and Koreha were childhood friends and that's all....at least this is what the game showed, right? Can we tell if Ryu only cared about her when he was after Doku? And in NG2 it was just alll about Revenge, no story. Ryu is "mindless" in many ways since every NG so far never really showed what kind of a human he is. He fights for justice. That's ok, but not enough for NG3, were the plan is to focus more on story/him. So actually ist doesn't matter if he is a ninja or not, IMO. The point is having a game which can entertain you, in both ways: gameplay and story.

From games with good cinematics and interesting character development. Having a player character running from A to B and nothing happens is a bit old school and definitely wont help you telling a story. Ryu should, as you said, push forward...without "skipping" the rest.

I guess that's why TN decided to go this way with NG3 (and Ryu).

Well the "off-game" descrpitions always mention he is motivated by vengeance in NG1, and mention Kureha. Even though he doesn't say a word about her in-game.

"World of Ninjas": Ninja Gaiden 3 Multiplayer Modes Revealed
Eight-player deathmatches and co-op modes detailed.

Team Ninja has revealed details of its multiplayer plans for Ninja Gaiden 3, and it involves eight-player deathmatches, a level system and a hell of a load of customisation options.

Localisation Project Manager Peter Garza told SPOnG that players will be able to create their very own ninja and toggle the way they look, as well as weapon loadouts and power-ups to give themselves a competitive edge online.

"We really wanted to focus the single-player mode on swordplay, and the brutality that encompasses," Garza said. "Online, however, we have a different idea. It’s more like the world of ninjas, and for that you’ll be able to make your own ninja and compete with other people from around the world.

"You start out as a rookie ninja, and there’s a level system that allows you to grow as you play more of the modes. You can unlock new abilities as well as items and customisation features - there are about 2,000 kanji characters that you can wear on your back, for example."

Only team battles and straightforward deathmatch modes have been revealed so far, alongside a co-operative mode that allows players to tackle Ryu Hayabusa's story with either a computer-controlled AI or with a friend. Garza added that Team Ninja will be looking to put its own spin on the traditional multiplayer combat scenario however, and that's proving to be a challenge.

"It involves a lot of iteration and basic level geometry. We’re always trying to find out what would happen if you placed a certain object here, or let players slide down there... it is a lot of work, but that's also the fun part of it. It's not so much a challenge in terms of latency though, as we’ve done online fighting games before. We’re using our experience with Dead or Alive to make sure we can deliver an online action game that fans of the series will love."

Girl Gamers UK Ninja Gaiden 3 Interview
http://www.girlgamersuk.com/2011/09/ninja-gaiden-3-interview/

Quote:
GGUK: In the past games of the series there have been Easter Eggs in the world. Are there any plans to have Easter Eggs in the third game and if so, what could there be?

Peter: We will definitely have content that series fans will enjoy.

DOA characters ? or jsut the prototype xbox

Quote:
GGUK: With the game being on the Xbox360 and PS3, is there any difference between them?

Peter: The PS3 game will support Move in the Hero play style. But by and large both games are the same.

suppose that makes sense

Quote:
GGUK: With Ninja Gaiden being on the DS in the past with the excellent Dragon Blade, and with the success of Dead or Alive on the 3DS, are there any plans to bring Gaiden to the 3DS?

Peter: There’s definitely ideas there and Dead or Alive on the 3DS was a great project for the team, and the 3DS is a very capable piece of hardware. So it’s not something that there are any plans at the moment, but there are ideas there.

No! first no original title for the PSV and now nothing for the 3DS

I will be REALLY pissed off if they dont add solo Mission Mode, they screwed that up in NGS2 and I have no doubt they will do that again for NG3.
