Nice Very Happy No problem with your preference of NF. Each to their own.

Thats true. I hope they work on the netcode or let some other studio doing this. Sigma 2 was even more laggy than Lost Planet 1 and 2, lol

From what I saw the game seems rather promising.

The so-called QTEs don't seem that different from the obliteration technique in terms of… "combat flow". Although too much slow motion could be annoying in the long run.

As for the no-decapitations/no-dismemberment I don't really care since I played the PAL release of Sigma which had no human decapitation either. That didn't prevent me from loving the game, so that should be the same here. Combo-wise, the few that I saw looked pretty sweet, and hopefully the new UT mechanics will prevent the ol' UT spamming tactics that plagued NG2 so much (Sigma 2 a bit les, but still much). Same for the Izuna drop, I heard this won't be a systematic one-hit kill.

In other words, it seems that beating the game in higher difficulties will require a bit more variety in skills that NG2… at least if said higher difficulties are decent enough, which is my greatest fear for NGIII. It is probably because it is a tutorial stage AND a demo but most of the videos I saw looked like pushovers.

I hope they keep the difficulty in Sigma 2 standards, more or less. Acolyte and Warrior were accessible without being too ridiculously easy (for a first play at least), mentor required significantly more skill and Master Ninja was hard and rewarding without being as cheap as NG2, mainly due to the dramatic increasing of enemy resilience and and reducing of their plain ridiculous number.

As for the Kunai Climb and Stleath Kills… I don't think anything particular of it. It is fine but seems pretty pointless.

You need to play the game. The SoB mechanic is drastically different from an OT in how it affects the gameplay. Dismemberment is not a big deal, though, since the mortally wounded state you put enemies into after cutting them with SoB or doing enough damage is more or less the same thing.

Well, it is that different of a feel I'm even more impatient to get my hands on it… just a silly question : what does «SoB» stand for exactly ? >__<
