yeah theres a month to go but lets kik it off with this:

Throughout May, IGN is taking a look at games set to appear at E3 2011, from June 6-9. We'll let you know what to expect and what we hope to learn about these games at this year's show. Will we see Gears of War 3's single player? What will BioWare reveal about Mass Effect 3? We'll answer as best we can amidst publishers' E3 secret planning.

What We Know
Tecmo hasn't said much about Ninja Gaiden III outside of a cryptic teaser trailer and some obscure hints from the producer. Tomonobu Itagaki, the man behind Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Gaiden Black, and Ninja Gaiden II is gone in his place is Yousuke Hayashi, the game director of Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Ninja Gaiden Sigma II for the PS3.

Here's what we know for sure: While Ninja Gaiden III somehow takes place after Ninja Gaiden II, but it focuses on main character Ryu Hyabusa's path to ninja-hood. Killing in Ninja Gaiden III won't be quite as easy as in previous games in the series. Hayashi has stated that players will "feel" their sword slowly cutting through bone. The debut trailer for Ninja Gaiden III does hold some clues to what's going on though - As we discussed in our Rewind Theater for the Ninja Gaiden III debut trailer, Ryu is wielding the Sword of the Archfiend, which he took from Genshin in Ninja Gaiden II. He also appears to be undergoing a fiendish transformation, complete with yellow eyes and a strange growth on his right arm.

What to Expect at E3 2011

E3 marks the big unveiling for Ninja Gaiden III. This is a pretty big deal, because there's a promise that the gameplay will see some significant changes. While story elements likely won't be a focus, we should learn why half of Ryu's body has been corrupted by demon blood and how that affects the gameplay. Our guess: This is Ninja Gaiden III's version of morality -- the more brutal your play style, the more the demon corruption spreads.

If you've been a fan of Ninja Gaiden, this E3 showing is really going to matter. In Ninja Gaiden II, you behead someone with a simple but properly executed combo. In Ninja Gaiden III, it's going to take much more than that. What that means, exactly, well, we're going to have to wait until the second week of June to find out.

Does it slow down the action when you have to perform quick time events to lop off limbs? Will we personally feel the challenge of severing a man's arm, as Team Ninja has claimed? We're excited to find out.

Well, we'll see.

Hayashi has a lot to prove to me.

My guess. It won't start off like that but something will happen later that effects his arm. As for "feeling" when people are being cut up with blood spewing everywhere the only thing I'm going to feel is sick Sad

The best game mechanic is very low expectations on the players' part.

My expectations are really low.
