I don't fancy survivals, to be honest. I'm bored of taking the same enemies in never-ending waves. I like to have something more than just "survive" as an objective, although I can totally see some people loving it.

I remember hating DOA survivals because you had to spam overpowered moves with ninjas (Ryu-Hayate and Ayane-Kasumi) if you wanted to reach the highest parts of the leaderboards.

Who said you take on the same enemies in survival mode? Sure after you play it to get to the 1000 enemy limit and then play it again, THEN you'll fight the same enemy routine just like Chapter Mode, Mission Mode and Co-op mode.

For those that want more single player for the "lesser" characters, a Mission/Survival would be ideal. And if you want to just fight alone with Ryu and no cruddy Ai to get in the way (no traveling, platforming, elements) this would be ideal as well.

You've got carried away with that "1000 enemy". Good thing it wasn't 9000. ;*

As for this whole modes discussion - one thing that strikes me is that now we have to talk about basic modes as something that they can add as a DLC. DLC is really a cancer of this generation.

If you mix the mode with enemies like pill bugs and ghost fish like Sigma 1, then it's pretty easy to get to 1000.

And yes, it will most likely be DLC.

They should add Speed Master, that is one of the best modes they released.
It's like a mini adventure mode, add co-op to it and you got yourself a awesome mode.

different people have different taste or liking about video games. its like people have different parent who give them birth, people don't share the same heart, u may not like it and said its suck, some people said its awesome, some people said NG suck, u said its awesome.
yeah DW suck for u, but it doesn't suck for everyone.
NG suck for some people, but doesn't suck for u.

That is the most level headed quote on this ENTIRE forum. I totally agree with you. I'm not a fan of Dynasty Warriors or Samurai Warriors, but I have a friend who loves them. I'm not a big fan of Tekken anymore, though 4 is still 1 of my favorite, but I have a friend who loves it. I like NG but most of my friends call me a masochist for playing it. Point is "not everybody is gonna be happy with everything." I can't stand Rachel, they portray her as a dumb blonde, shoulda made a new kunoichi or gave all her parts to Ayane in NG1, but I bet somebody likes Rachel (though I doubt anyone on this forum does b/c you guys are harsh Laughing )

Anyway NGS2 is a testing ground. I don't mind all the extra stuff, whether I like it or not is irrelevant. I'd rather Hayashi and TN make all their mistakes with NGS2 than make them with NG3.

Wow, thats all I got to say.

Yesterday I played the demo again, but this time, focused on the visuals only, I went close to a wall to rotate the camera close to Ryu, the visuals are just outstanding, the details is crazy for Sigma 2.

Ryu actually has finger nails this time.

The character models are great!

So they've actually remodeled a lot. That's great and it's a pity that reviewers don't focus on this aspect.

The demo levels don't show that many differences but those neogaf shots do.

EDIT: MazingerDUDE? That's the expert pixel-counter from Eurogamer. Smile

Nice to see the amount of remodeling and detail they added to NGS2. I m guess later levels will have the same level of improvements. So far everything is looking nice

Nice VS. video.

Wouldn´t say that this makes the 360 version better, but he noticed some nice things.

I'm not sure what to take from that video. It seems like it is slanted towards the xbox version and is not based on a unbiased point of view. Plus, the PS3 video is extremely dark, it would have been better if the person making the vidoe adjusted the brightness settings to match on this. From that video, I would say the xbox looks better, but when properly adjusted, the games are almost identical graphically speaking.
