Cool, but I still find it ridiculous that we have to pay for it.

Anyone know what the missions will consist of? I can't open the link here at work, and my home is all fritzed up.

Mission Mode

What: 25 missions (basically a new campaign mode)
When: Friday, July 25
How Much: 800 MS Points

Introducing Mission Mode, a brand-new gameplay expansion for the acclaimed action game Ninja Gaiden II. In this all new game mode, challenge your skills in self-contained missions featuring trials and tribulations not found in the standard story mode. Karma Attack missions task you with obtaining the highest score, while Survival missions give you a single weapon to fight off as many enemies as possible. Take your high scores online with Xbox LIVE and compete with players around the world on the mission leaderboards!

^ That's what it says regarding MM.

Think NGB mission mode (lotsa ninja missions, boss with minions, multiple bosses) except with variation in terrain.

i hope each mission lasts longer than typical NG1 missions

I would have to say it's a little annoying to pay for mission mode. I can see what Itagaki was annoyed with Tecmo they are the Electronic Arts of the far east. Charging up the butt for every little add on that should have been in the game. I'll pay for some extra suits but really missions should have been in the game. I think I'll wait a while on these I have other games I'll play. Or just keep playing for those extra achievements.

Yeah, I'm afraid I too will wait for them to be free. Rolling Eyes

I also(based on screens I've seen with some of the match ups like Elizabeth with Genshin, for instance), that I don't and won't be in the mood for the frustration with NG 2's views on "difficult games", this time around like I was on the first HP's of NG 1 and Black.

I Master Ninja'ed those back then... I probably won't this time out.

Getting old, with less time to game I guess, lol.

I'll buy them in a heart beat. Done everything there is to do in NG2 now. Even got all the achievements. I'm waiting on more content.

In the meantime, I'm going to go pick up UTIII. Anyone care to join me?

EDIT: The Mission Mode won't become free. In case you haven't noticed, the only content that EVER becomes free is content that sells incredibly well AND is needed for matchmaking to work properly for everyone. Gears and Halo 3 and Rainbow Six Vegas 2 are the only games that have had content go free. Single player content has never gone free. Except Kameo, but that's barely a game.

I'm definitely getting it. Adds more replay value to NG2. Now that all achievements are complete it's time to continue having fun on Master Ninja Mode until the missions are released.

Hey! Keylay! I think you owe myself and Vigaku a medal or two, no? My shiny achievements are not enough!

On topic, I was just looking at the screenshots of Mission Mode...please god include a patch for the framerate...those IS ninjas again...

Oddly enough if you perform HDD maintenance it fixes it...until you play another game. Ugh.

I think I'm only buying it if extra achievements are in order as well.

They should bring back some handicap weapons.

Like wooden swords, nunchucks, then they can add wooden staff etc... That'd keep some of you from "completely finishing" the game.

I doubt that, someone would do it.
