Do you folks believe that Flying Swallow is a bit overpowered in the game? |

Not really, but I don't abuse it. I used it a lot at first, but there are faster and more entertaining ways to take out your enemies.
I would have liked some safer ground combos, though - when you're crowded by enemies with the Dragon Sword it's usually best to for for an Izuna or Nirrti, since most of the more stylish combos it has are linear and leave you open to getting smacked in the back. |

No...well, not when I use it. Whenever I repeatedly do the same thing in nearly any game, I lose concentration and screw up. It tends to be my #2 cause of death, other than dieing. |

I dont find it to powerful only for reason that in many cases its not the right thing to use unless your in tight spot. But again I agree with Kayin Amoh that the Dragon Sword is easily overcome by crowded of enemies and needs some more ground protective moves. |

I think that it is very powerful, in that if you wanted to you can just spam it on Doku or Murai, perhaps these bosses should have resisted it. It is definitely one of the best moves the Dragon Sword has, but yeah, it wouldn't be used as much (At least by me) If the DS was better on the ground and didn't get you swamped. _________________ James: Why can't we all just live happily together?

I don't think it is overpowered. It would be overpowered if the recovery time wasn't so long. First I did abuse the move, but when I got the Flail later in the game, I used Red Hot Iron Brand instead. _________________

Yea, I remember Red Hot Brand. I'm glad they fixed up the soldiers with the bayonets. I used to Red Hot Brand them all the time. They were too easy. The new enemy designs stick their bayonets in you when you use it so I'm happy about that. |

I think it's a bit too effective against some of the bosses (fatman, bone dragon, murai, non-HP), but against regular enemies I think its balanced, as most of them block or dodge it (on VH at least). In some cases it's almost a necessity to have, I imagine it'd be pretty tough to play through the whole game w/out it. _________________ Crap!Crap!Crap! - Zenigata |

On Normal, yes. On Very Hard, (what you should be playing) no. |

Well, it loses also some of its effectiveness on Hard. Spamming the move on Doku's first form doesn't work that much, for instance. _________________

True that. Well, you can say it is his bread and butter move, but luckily they fixed that (on Hard, at least, didn't play Very Hard or the Hurricanes). _________________

Haze/Extinction straight slash has more chance of succeeding in chopping their heads off. _________________
