He sounds like heīs going through a change of mind. If heīll be right with the claim, that this is the best NG and action game he could ever do, then this game has to be the best action game in the next 5 - 10 years, considering the near perfection of NG1.

I hope heīs right and that we will get a truly masterpice. Otherwise he wonīt get around to make NG3, since there would be a huge demand on the part of the fan base and probably even on some part of the industry. If people see potential yet, they are going to demand the next sequel.

but there is his statement:" everything else would be extraneous Sad

Iīm gonna translate a german figure of speech, which most likely also exists in a similar form in english(didnīt find it on the internet), in order to say what I think that Itagaki-san thought at the end of his creativ work for NG2.

You should end something when youīre at the zenith

yup dude.. ZENITH is where its at. I believe one thing. there will be NG 3. even though he sez hes not making another one. Why do I say this, because In 5yrs from now the gaiden fans would have risen. Then consoles will be cheaper. And ppl who didnt have a 360 will be able to experience this game by then. And then He will dominate once more...
Sorry to say this but WW2 stuff aint gonna last in that brain of his . for sure. Well this is just my guess at most. If the fans feel NG2 isnt the ultimate, He will have come up with another one, Problem is japan as a whole is having a problem with the 360 system as a whole. So All I can do is pray that he makes another Gaiden game..

The only reason why I would love to see a NG3 would be to see some potential left.

If NG2 turns out as the ultimate action game that weīre all hoping for, then believe me, there wonīt be any NG hardcore fan demanding NG3. If NG2 is the peak of perfection, why demanding NG3???

So we have to wait and see, I guess.

By the way slickcat, Iīm actually from Poland too. At least thatīs where I was born and lived until I was 4 and a half Smile But donīt even think about writing something in polish. I lost all my polish knowledge Embarassed

well its actually sad that its the last game of NG series...

But I hope he keeps his promise to continue the DoA series... the franchise is just amazing
of the fighting...

I know Itakagi works hard with his team when its about Ninja Gaiden, but I think Itakagi
is tryin to say that heīd put all his energy to make the best action game ever made wich is
Ninja Gaidne 2... and it would be hard to come up with something new to another sequel of the game....

what could NG3 be like if the ng2 is already that amazing with its combat.....

but I realy hope the NG2 ending is awesome, I realy hope they made it something very intressting
with the ending of the game....

Atleast Ryu Hayabusa continues on the DoA 5 game... lets hope they continue with the DoA series ^^

Oh good, another World war II game. Mad

I'd rather he stopped making them altogether than someone else carrying it on.

It's not the last NG game. It's just the last NG game that Itagaki will be in charge of. Hayashit will more than likely take over, the NG series will go on. Don't know if this is a good or bad thing yet but we'll see.

Itagaki still has Project Progressive and DOA:Code Cronos to make so I'm quite interested to see what he comes up with for those games. I'm pretty sure Project Progressive is suppose to be a new action game.

Hayashi did some things right with Sigma (no puzzles, just plain awesome challenges) but overall, it wasn't a good job imo.

i want itagaki and co to leave NG till the next generation, that way they can come up with new and refreshing ideas on a much more powerful console.
