As they revealed NG2 video with Joe Hayabusa...

Joe Hayabusa is Ryu´s father right...

but on the old NG games, the fathers name was Ken Hayabusa, I even checked out on wikipedia.
And acording to the NES verisons, Ken Hayabusa was killed by Bloody Malth's master....

I dont know where I heard about Joe Hayabusa,... but how come his name is Joe and not Ken?

Can anyone reveal the story of Joe or "Ken" Hayabusa, and what he did while the NG series because
there are some small errors here...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninja_Gaiden_(series) You may have to cut and past this link as I am having trouble getting it to include the _(series) part in the link.

"The regional differences between the Japanese and foreign editions of the Nintendo Entertainment System trilogy are minor. The Japanese version of the third game (Ninja Ryukenden III) featured a password system where the player could jump to each stage by inputting symbols based on the power-ups obtained in the game, and was also significantly easier than the US version, with reduced damage and infinite continues. The name of Ryu Hayabusa's father was changed from Joe to Ken in the US version, but was changed back in the later Xbox installments, most likely due to the Ryu and Ken characters from Capcom's Street Fighter games. "

As far as the death goes, I believe that the xbox Ninja Gaiden universe takes place before the NES trilogy (someone correct me if I'm off here).

thansk for the info... was good enough with evendece Very Happy

But NG on the new installment might also be the "Remade story" from the original...
Because It doesnt realy take place after the NES.... but if it would take place before NES, then
that means that Ayane came before Irene from NES.

I think I read an interview with Itagaki when NG 1 came out and he said that NG on Xbox has a different story than the old trilogy.
Also, "someone correct me if I'm off here" :/

First Itagaki said that Ninja Gaiden (Xbox) had no relation to the NES ones but later he said that Ninja Gaiden (Xbox) took place before the NES series.

Joe and Ken are translated very similarily from Japanese to English. Irene was called Aileen when they wrote Ryu Hayabusa's story for DOA.

Yeah Itagaki said that these new Ninja Gaiden installments are different than the NES trilogy. They have no relation apart from some similar moves, ninpos, and weapons. It' more related to Dead or Alive as Itagaki has stated that the xbox Ninja Gaiden takes place 2 years before the Dead or Alive 1 game. However, one could argue that the game does have enough merit to be a prequel.
