With its effort to pound Sony's Playstation Now, Microsoft plans a streaming game service for their console, XBOX.

With the exclusive games offered by console providers, certainly many who expect to play the game without having to buy a console that costs equivalent to the price of their computer. Emulators seem to be an alternative but with the length of development for certain consoles, streaming game services can be an alternative.

Microsoft, which does not currently have a streaming service for their console, has plans to create streaming games for XBOX in the future. Phil Spencer as executive vice president of Microsoft said Microsoft will release their own streaming game services for the next three years.

Previously, Microsoft also has a service that has the same base, renting access to a content monthly. This they apply to XBOX Game Pass, a service to download games that players want to play for a month for $ 9.99. This service is certainly limited only to XBOX owners only, so from here Microsoft wants to develop the service.

Phil Spencer mentioned that experiments for similar services had run in 2012, but were stalled due to overpriced fees. With Microsoft successfully developing Azure as a Cloud-based service, Spencer believes that streaming services are getting better and this allows them to release in the next three years.

Streaming game services do look interesting, but considering XBOX started releasing some games for the PC version, streaming service that will be presented by Microsoft is not so promising. Games like Forza Motorsport 7 and Forza Horizon 3 have been released for PC through the Windows exchanges.

In fact, a similar service was also previously released by Sony called Playstation Now. As the Playstation game is more exclusive, Playstation Now looks more promising. But unfortunately, Sony requires players to have Dualshock 3 or Dualshock 4 to play the game.

Microsoft seems so confident that this service will succeed in remembering they already have their own Cloud service. With XBOX exclusive games getting smaller, it seems better to invest in PC games alone.
