I don't understand that at all take.

Ayane's cutscene goes perfectly well with the story. Later on she has the dragon's eye. Its just trying to fill every hole.

The way Ayane is instructed by Joe is retarded. It just makes no sense to send her to Venice, especially since she fights there with that stupid witch boss that comes from nowhere, just like the Buddha. Not to mention that the dragon eye was in Hayabusa clan possession - there was no need for Ayane to look for it in the context of NGII. They've made that only to squeeze her somehow.

It would be better if the girls didn't have those forced missions at all and were just unlockables for the co-op, at least the story wouldn't be even more stupid than in NGII.

I think it is like a gag imo.

See Obaba took the dragon's eye in the DS version so it could be some sort of joke by having it repeat itself.

The part where Ayane shows up in NG2 did seem a little out of place. So I'm glad they tried to give it some backbone.

But yeah, forced character missions suck.

And lol @ "Rated M for Meh", I hope they don't go anywhere with this.

That's the whole point. It was in DS, no need to repeat that. This isn't fanfiction. They shouldn't lulz so much.

Then there is no need for MArbus or those pink uimps either, or Rachel (even though I dont mind this one Razz).

I have a question to those played DS version, did Obaba die and did she keep the dragon eye?
If so then Ayane's story makes perfectly sense now WHY and HOW Ryu got the dragon eye, in NG2 it made no sense whatsoever.

It makes no sense, it's clear Hayashi had no idea how to put those new chars story-wise so he decided to make it as if it was fanfiction.

I guess the usual talk about the gameplay will start now but I really don't why you can't have simple, clean story like in NG1 alongside kick-ass gameplay. Surprised

You're only proving my point that Hayashi don't have any idea how to tackle this franchise and makes fanfic-like crap.

But yeah, even though Hayashi was DS producer, Itagaki was the executive producer and he accepted all of Hayashi's crap so they both fail. Surprised

I think that Itagaki didn't approach DS seriously and didn't consider it a part of the canon, though.

Well that is basically what I meant when I said the plot does what it wants.

"the plot does what it wants"

'Hayashi does what he wants', maybe more appropriate?

Really? Not seriously?
He was in every interview and event to show off the game more than Hayashi, or he wasent even in it.
I remember Itagaki said he wanted NG on DS because his children played on DS or they wanted it on DS, can't remember, but I know it was something about his children that he wanted to make NG DS.

So yeah, I know you like Itagaki mmore than Hayashi, but saying Itagaki wasent approaching DS seriously then thats stupid.

He said his daughter wanted a NG on DS but that shows that he couldn't be serious about the story of the game, he treated it more like a present for his daughter. I don't mean that he didn't care about the development, I'm just saying he didn't consider it to be canonical story-wise. Then again, you never know with Itagaki as he is A BIG FAT LIAR.

To be honest, I don't know why he even credits himself for DS since it's Hayashi's doing but that's a different story.
