Check out the official site here for some new info on Ultimate Ninpo and Critical Saves, both unique to coop!
Release date: September 29, 2009
A couple quick things: Critical Saves are usable in coop when your partner dies. You have a short amount of time to run over and press O to revive them and you can do it as much as you want, but the life regained upon revival diminishes. Also, Ultimate Ninpo is a screen-clearing attack that is completely unblockable and is triggered by both players using Ninpo at once in close proximity. Bosses cannot evade it either. It does not appear to change depending on characters used, though.
Got some vids and assets that aren't available anywhere else yet that I'm aware of. I also have the official cover (M rating and everything. Keylay isn't around for me to pass them too, so anyone that wants to see them is going to have to message me on AIM for the file. I might host them somewhere but they're uncompressed and would take me years to upload and as you may have noticed from my lack of posting, I'm very busy as of late.
The vids I have have been screen capped, I think. One is coop with Ryu and Momiji, another with Ryu and Ayane. Both include character setup and according to the file name are from offline play (which naturally makes sense).
My AIM is crackfools85. A little heads up, though: I'll only provide you content if you are registered with Ninja Fortress.
EDIT: Just watched them...co-op ninpo looks BADASS.
EDIT 2: Uploading to YouTube.

Dude...you say there is local co-op of 2 players? Is that true? Can you do split screen?
Also, please email me the screen at: arlinddragon@msn.com
I don't have AIM unfortunately. |

I put up Youtube links...you shouldn't need pictures though I have a ton of them. They're all uncompressed, full resolution pics, so I'm not going to just email a batch of them. What exactly are you looking for? The cover art is completely badass. _________________

Just that lol...the cover art.
Love the videos btw.
But hey, can you answer the local MP question...does it have split screen? Is that the un-announced mode that hayashi spoke some time ago? |

Best news all day, cyber you are AWESOME!
The co-op is amazing, the ninpo is epic, and they even added "Escape from Crisis" music from NG1, one of my favorite tracks in NG1. it plays when Momiji is down and Ryu revives her.
PS. Awesome that both players can pick the same characters. |

Looks awesome! Thanks Cyberevil!!
Anyone notice the Priest casting ninpo in midair? (1:42 and 1:48 of Momiji vid) He never did that before...
Oh and Ayane looks like she also has a Flying Swallow into Izuna correspondent... you can see the player attempting it at 2:55...
Several things people are gonna question and pick on though:
The team ninpo is BEAUTIFUL! BUT it's just a typical kill all nuke, and you don't even see the enemy getting killed by the ninpo... They really shouldn't have done that, since there's no fun associated with the actual usage of it... My though, they should've made the ninpo cast on stage, and only cast-able if your partner manages to come in range to cast ninpo, then the dragon comes down IN STAGE and your enemies getting thrown by the explosion... Though who knows, they probably made the Ninpo TOO good looking that the PS3 can't handle that ninpo instage or with enemies around...
There's also no danger associated with reviving team mate... But then again, how the hell do you find some safe time in a Ninja Gaiden game amidst battling...
I've never liked the invincibility during throws/obliterations idea. It looks like now the bosses have it too... People are going to notice and get annoyed when they're swinging at a boss and he doesn't respond let alone lose life... ESPECIALLY for example Zedonius' grab, which lasts at least 5 seconds... I'd say they should've made it "Attacking any thrower saves your partner". That way, at least there's more "Co-op" in the game...
O button to change camera shows up for like 10 seconds... Isn't O the projectile button?
30 second load time >_< Then again, mission mode was like that on NG2 360... _________________ I swear, games with Nunchucks and back flips should incorporate an involuntary suicide mechanism... |

Oh and imagine this: You and co-op partner are fighting Genshin and Elizabet, you's kill Elizabet... then Genshin runs over and revives her... _________________ I swear, games with Nunchucks and back flips should incorporate an involuntary suicide mechanism... |

O YES!
Finally some proper stuff and it’s nice to see enemies bleeding yellow mist as well
I wonder if the demo will be for the online mode or the single player mode _________________

I am hoping for both, but as long as it comes out so we can play it we will be fine.
I also don't mind if there was a co-op mode in the demo but not online but offline, that would be good too. |
