|
|
Alright guys, got a little something for you. We're going to host a tournament of sorts. Just about everyone has either a camera or camera phone at this point, so I'm hoping it's doable!
Game: Ninja Gaiden Black (Not Sigma, sorry guys, but it's a tad easier than Black, and also longer)
What: Fastest playthrough of Master Ninja difficulty (Karma doesn't count for anything at all!)
Prize: One copy of Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword for the DS and a limited edition Dragon Sword stylus
Runner up prizes: The next fastest two times each get a DS stylus (small yes, but I was considering not giving anyone after first anything; second place is really just the first loser, after all!)
I will take submissions up through Friday, May 30th. As proof, I need one picture showing proof of your start date being today or after today, either a written sign or a newspaper or something similar, then a picture of your screen with proof of that day as well with the screen showing your completion time. Rank does not matter, but you'll look stupid with anything less than Master Ninja here at the Ninja Fortress!
All prizes provided by Tecmo.
Questions? Concerns?
As a note, DS games are region-free, but the game is a US copy, so English might be handy. Shipping outside of the US is possible, but may hurt my wallet a little. Take it easy on me, guys! On that note, I'm rooting for the home team, lol.
A little update: this is only for Ninja Fortress registered members, and also I thought I'd reiterate that it must be a NEW run, from today on.
Participants:
Sanman
Sabotage
BringerofChaos
Eternal Rapture
Dances w/ Ninjas
MCD (for the high fives) _________________

Hold the phone, is this a straight up speed run or what? I mean, if its purely time I would run through every fight I could. Should we have pics of every end chapter screen showing the kills to prove we did the fights? Whats up with this? :/
I mean, skipping all the fights would substantially lower the time.
But I'm in, I'll take the pictures tomorrow, with somesort of date in it I guess.
But if I win I have the right to will away the prizes? I don't own a DS, sadly
Or I could just hoard it and put it in a trophy case.

You can give the prize to someone else if you want, sure. But yeah, PURE speed. Ninjas are supposed to be fast and stealthy. You don't have to kill anyone or anything you don't need to if that's your bag. That is the fastest way through, after all. _________________

AWWWWW crap!
I forgot, on my 360 I'm only halfway through hard, and my old xbox is toast!
I need to speed run just to unlock the damn thing!
*pops three pieces of energy gum*
Tonight, I finish Hard.

It doesn't take long to do a speed run. I'm giving two full weeks knowing some people will have to re-unlock it. _________________

It was an option to run. You had better be lucky he was even kind enough to give use anything you ahole.
It is from the kindness in his heart and if you dont like it, dont enter.
You should know we're very lucky to have him here.
Now listen grass hopper and listen well speedRUNdoes not mean speed run and kill everyone.
Time was the requirement. Not looking good. If you like to look good fine but thats not needed here.
Do you do that at your job?
"hay boss this would be better if we did it this way"
"....."
"Get your things together"
"your fired"
Thats what happens.
Also please look up the meaning of speedrun! |

I don't recall asking for suggestions or what people think "honor" while playing a videogame constitutes.
Play or don't play. I do seem to recall there being more world records for speed runs than for playing "honorably," though.
Also, Vigaku, you have a good way of proving that people completed every fiend challenge? I'd rather not get entire photo albums as submissions. _________________

Killing all of the enemies quickly is generally referred to as a Karma run. Those are plentiful and there will be official tournaments for that. I don't much care for that style of play, and this is the fastest possible tournament format, considering many people have to re-unlock Master Ninja in the first place on their 360s. Again, not a vote. If you want to enter, by all means. But I'm not changing the format. _________________

I'd enter but I don't have a DS. Looking forward to seeing the outcome of this though. _________________

Most people don't seem to have a DS, oddly enough. Just enter anyway. What else you going to do? _________________
