I'm still working on it. If I'm going to do it, it will be 2D only. It will be my take on freeform fighting. String hits together like: LRR, LRL, RLL, RLR, etc... _________________

Quite cool actually... but it's not really freeforming if everything is preprogrammed... _________________

Still in figuring it all out. How to do it without too much hassle. I still think it is doable.
@XNinjaRed: I never said it would be true freeform. True freeform is the fighting basics like in Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat (1 and 2). _________________

It can work with pressure sensitive buttons, push X gently about every second (time it with the steps) to run on water, and push it harder to jump? |

Too much hassle. You can easily screw up in the heat of a fight. _________________

It's an interesting idea but TN always strives to make the controls for their games as comfortable as possible. Adding a dynamic like that would no doubt cause some mistakes. _________________

Add to that that a lot of people will find it annoying. Especially when fighting. You don't know which button your tapping. _________________

You're 100% right guys. It wouldn't be practical.
Now we noticed the extra "evade" moves, so Ryu doing backflip or lateral jumps, I'm guessing a button like L2 is being used for them (or maybe R1 and R2 becomes the camera align). |

My only problem with the controls would be the sticks. I cant STAND the way the sticks are on the PS controllers. Unless thye change it, the controls may not be too great. And the only other "remake" that ive seen that adds this much is the Resident Evil remake (AKA REmake) for Gamecube O.O _________________
