I know the Feature will work but I mean... are they gonna change the "tap A(in this case X) rapidly while on water" into something else? since in the trailer we saw Ryu running on water and then jump only to continue running again even though you normally should've tap A(X) to actually STAY on the water. You guys know what I'm saying?
Edit:
oh yeah, do you guys think there will Gamov fans now that he's a boss with guns and knife? O_O
To be honest... guns and knife... makes me think of RE or DMC! _________________

You bring up a good question for the water combat controls, but from looking at the trailer you can easily tell that the controls are far different than they are in NG/NGB. _________________

Yeah, the water combat looks so badass.
But, can anyone else not imagine playing NG on a PS controller? _________________

PS3 controller really isn't that different from a 360 controller. They both have the same amount of buttons and the PS3 controller implemented trigger's (R2 and L2 are trigger like now). I don't think it's going to feel any different at all. Of course, that's just my opinion. _________________

My guess is tapping the jump button like always and attack like always. With a few changes here and there. _________________

Then how do you jump? In the trailer he jumped on the water only to continue running again... _________________

Maybe a scroll that will allow you to do that...
I think it would be something like tapping A 2 or 3 times at the begining and then just holding the stick in a direction and if ryu doesn't move during something like 1,5 ~ 2 seconds he would fell into water.
I dunno, but it looks so damn cool _________________

Hmm, good one. Maybe holding one of the triggers I guess. _________________

That's a good theory. Maybe even an armlet? _________________

I still think it will be trigger like in PoP. Centering the camera can be one of the sticks (L3 or R3). Armlet theory works, but not that usable IMO. _________________

That idea won't work. If you have to keep tapping a button then you kind of remove moves from the controller layout. Example, say you have to keep tapping jump (Which would be the X button on the PS3 controller) to run on water like you have to now in NG/NGB, you won't be able to jump around like Ryu is doing in the trailer. The rest of the buttons are called for. Right Trigger is camera, Left Trigger is Guard, Square button is attack, Triangle is Heavy attack, Circle is projectile weapons, L1 is Karma. The only button available would be R1 but that will most likely be Ninpo. A scroll or armlet is a great theory. It makes the most sense while still retaining smooth and comfortable controls. _________________

Could be. But in PoP you hold the R-trigger. That's what I meant. _________________

I know that, but IMO it would work good, holding the R-trigger with your indexfinger while slashing enemies to curtains with your thumb. Keeps the speed in the game and I think there will not be much waterfighting anyway, well, maybe in Chapter 11. _________________

You do know that they're adding more levels and are even redesigning all the original levels right? Who knows what this game is going to be like. Calling this game a 'remake' is straight up disrespectful. I've never seen a remake add so much stuff.
As for holding down the Right Trigger... that won't work in NG. Camera control is one of the most important things to use in the game and taking that kind of control away from the player would ruin it. I do NOT want to see them mess with that. _________________
