There's the new controller folks. All I can say is: Wow, good bye Nintendo. I seriously hope this is just a 'gimmick' contoller or something, because that controller is whack. I thought the new controller was suppose to be a touch screen or something like that.

I think Nintendo is being different just for the sake of being different now....

* sees mental image of virtual boy *

No, but really I'd have to try it when the system comes out. It obviously wasnt made for aesthetics, tho.

I think it could work out well, the only trouble is: are developers going to use it?

Dunno... PS3 and X360 are sticking with controllers that everybodies familiar with. I think most developers are going to be a bit skeptical about the new 'remote controller' thingy.

I've seen the thing too. And although it is 'revolutionary', I think it isn't very practical to play games with.

ok....ive wondered, how are u supposed to aim the remote at the TV? when i saw that i was like wtf. because a remote isnt gonna be conveiniet for a FPS, i would rather go back to halo.

my impressions are the controller is more like a mouse...except for a tv. how does the remote know where you are pointing? they need to tape a video or something demonstrating how.

i also kinda laughed at the post named "nintendo has serious problems"

but isnt there a controller hookup as well? oh yea they shoulda changed that part as well, into a "next gen" look. because the GC controllers were good..but not as good as xbox. they shoulda made the C buttons into regular set of buttons, like a D pad.

wow....I'm speechless. I mean there's being different, and then there's being from another planet. I'm sorry but that controller looks atrocious(sp?). This looks like a step backwards for nintendo.

By the way, isn't the revolution supposed to be able to play all the old nintendo games. How could that controller play an N64 game with half the buttons.

Man I hope this is just a prototype.

I agree that it's not that aestethically pleasing but I think it seems very neat. As long as the games are fun and the precision is good, Revolution is going to rock.

Pimp> You don't have to aim it at the tv all the time, the controller is motion sensitive. Read this for a better explanation. And there is a video somewhere there as well. http://cube.ign.com/articles/651/651275p2.html

Plus you can hook up the old GC-controller for playing older games. I really like the fact that it's compatible with older games. It will even be possible to download old NES-games.

Well, I've been reading alot about this controller from various sites and I must say this is one sophisticated little peice of technology. The things it's capable of are pretty amazing and could very well do what Nintendo intends to do, change the way we play video games. Still have no clue how your suppose to use the controller with fighting games, but FPS'ers are going to be awesome. The controller looks like it'll be the one to replace the good ol' M/KB. (M/KB=Mouse and Keyboard) But one of the sites did say there was a port where you could plug in more traditional controllers, so here's to hoping developers are actually going to use this controller to it's fullest potential.

If you flip it like this, you can see how it's going to be used to play NES games.
