WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! I'm free! I got my braces taken off this morning, after having them for 3+ years. It feels so good to be able to floss in less than five minutes. And I get to chew gum again. And I can bite into whole apples!!! Mr. Green

YAY!!!! I'm going to get a retainer, but that's still way better than the braces.

Yeah, I doubt that anyone other than me cares. Razz

yeah same here for some reason my dad told the dentist to put it at the back of my teeth and i thought that's was weird behind my teeth

I just got my (temporary) retainer. My hatred of othodontists has been renewed. Cause they put a permanent retainer on my bottom jaw (it's like, a piece of wire behind the front teeth, just glued on). And now I can't bite into whole apples anymore, because it might brake the permenant retainer. Stupid fatherless child. I'd ignore it and eat apples anyway, but it took waaaay too long for them to get the damn thing on. sigh... at least I can still chew gum and eat snickers and corn chips. But we don't have any gum in the house. sigh...

Well, I have a temporary retainer (I think that it's one of those Invisaline things). I think that it's just one of many they had. It's only until my "real" retainer is finished, which is like, two weeks from now. So I haven't gotten my retainer, made for my teeth yet. That's on my upper jaw. On my lower jaw, they glued on a wire that I can't take out and called it a permanant retainer. So I've got this stupid plastic thing on my upper teeth, and a metal wire behind my bottom set of teeth. And because of the thing on the bottom, I'm not supposed to bite into whole apples. This makes me sad. However, I have gum, snickers, corn on the cob, corn chips, and carmel to comfort me.

I had one of those things once that filled your entire mouth to straighten your upper and lower teeth. The only good part about it was that it could be taken out.
