Sigh... Ok here we go.

MK games lack the flow and balance you'll find in other fighting games. Combat relies too much on special moves and short tap combo's. The longer combo's are pretty pointless to do because they don't cause much damage, so you can just stick to the simpler combos. Another thing about the combo's is the timing just seems off for them, it's like you can input all the buttons for a combo really fast, stop, and watch your character perform the rest of the combo without your input. That's generally not a good sign in fighting games because the more control you have the better. The biggest flaw on MK's part is the lack of you figuring out how you want to play it and develop your own style. In MK all you can do is the combos and special moves the game gives you, that's it. Every character is going to play the same with this kind of setup which will eventually lead to boredom because of the repeatition. MK is not a real fighting game. Not even close.

Good explanation from your point of view. I can't say more then that I like it. Deception is great, not as great as DOA, and so is Shaolin Monks to an extent.

sc controller on xbox FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFking sucks. instead od xyab. they something else, can be so confusing when look at the move list.

I think he's trying to say:

"Playing SC sucks on the XBOX Controller because they should use XYAB in the move list. It can be confusing when you see them say A for Horizontal Slash when H. Slash is really the X button, Vertical Slash is called B but the button for it is Y, etc."

I'm not sure though...

Watch combos? Maybe in decpetion, but not in DA. That one requires timing, especially for long combos (which do indded kick arse, alot more then the simpler ones), and also, many people fight without specials, all about the positioning Razz

Positioning huh.... I highly doubt MK can stand against SC or DOA when it comes to position advantages. MK lacks that kind of depth. Always has, always will.

Don't get me wrong, I loved MK back when it first came out. MK is old, I remember playing it when I was like 9 or 10 years old. That's over 12 years ago. Back in it's time it was great but in this day and age MK just can't compete with other fighters. It just lacks the many qualities that I find important to have in fighting games.
